Heather
Licensed Optician
Heather is one of our Licensed Opticians at Vivid Vision who hails from “The Rock” but has made Alberta her home for the last 13 years. Heather received her Optician’s Accreditation from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) and became a member of Canada's Opticians Association in January of 2007. Of course, Heather brought the Newfie wit and charm with her and patients of all ages appreciate her kindness and a great sense of humour. Heather wasn’t always an Optician – she also had careers in dental assisting and restaurant management. But all of her professions have one thing in common – people. Heather’s commitment to her patients, strong work ethic and stellar customer service put her miles ahead of her peers. Her mission is to help people achieve the very best vision possible while looking great at the same time. Heather is excited about the new equipment that has been brought to the office. More testing can be done with quicker results. Heather met her husband, Brett, of eight years here in Alberta, and they enjoy spending their downtime with friends and family and, of course, their two Cocker Spaniels!
Roxy
Office Administrator
Roxy is one of the wonderful office administrators at Vivid Vision, she is certainly no stranger to the people of Fort Saskatchewan and the surrounding community. Roxy was raised on a farm outside of Lamont and has been working in the Optical business in Fort Saskatchewan for 28 years!! She started back in 1990 with Dr. Marsh at what was called Intown Optical. This business then became ICU Optical and eventually Vivid Vision when Janet Vervynck took over in 2008. Roxy is also a “people person” and compliments the existing staff with her organizational skills, attention to detail, willingness to go above and beyond for her patients and of course, her infectious laugh. Because of Roxy’s exceptional administrative skills, the office runs like a well-oiled machine – appointments get booked, supplies get ordered, patient files are maintained! Roxy has been married for 29 years to her husband, Scott, and they have two grown boys with whom they enjoy spending their free time.
Michelle
Optometric Assistant
Michelle is the newest member of our Vivid Vision team; however, she has been a part of the Vivid Family as a patient for more than a decade so she is a natural match!
Michelle thrives on helping people and making them feel good about themselves and their eyewear choices. She has many years of experience in small businesses and is no stranger to the heart and soul that goes into making every experience at our clinic an enjoyable one. When you come to our clinic you’ll meet Michelle with a smiling face as you check-in, conduct pre-examination testing and follow up with her giving great style advice in our optical.
She was born and raised in Fort Saskatchewan and has been married for almost 20 years. She is a mother of 2 teenage boys and is actively involved with all their sports teams and thus our community. We are honoured to have Michelle join our crew!
Melanie
Optometric Assistant
Melanie is the newest member of the Vivid Vision family. She grew up on the East Coast and moved to the Fort in 2019 along with her husband and two wonderful children. In Melanie's free time, she enjoys relaxing with a good book and spending time with her family and their two puppies.
She is new to the Optical industry and is very excited about learning new things, and helping people have a wonderful experience every time they walk through the door.
